Tipping Policy
Gratuities are automatically added to your on-board on-board account. Depending on your cabin class, gratuities are $10.50 to $11 per person (including children) per day. Also, be aware that a 15% service charge is automatically added to bar and wine purchases. This charge will be shared amongst those staff, including the waitstaff, stateroom stewards, buffet stewards, galley staff, laundry staff and others.
Casino dealers and Lotus Spa® personnel do not share in the Hotel and Dining charge, as not all passengers utilize these services.

The amount of the cancellation fee depends primarily on one factor: Days until your cruise's departure. The earlier you cancel, the less the fee. However, the specifics vary depending on the length of your cruise and if you are sailing on a holiday.
For example, for a 1 week, 7-night cruise (non holiday sailing) the cancellation fee is:
- None, if cancelled with 75 days or more from departure
- Your deposit amount ($250 per person), if cancelled between 74-57 days from departure
- 50% of the total fare, if cancelled between 56-29 days from departure
- 75% of the total fare, if cancelled between 28-15 days from departure
- 100% of the total fare, if cancelled within 14 days of departure
See the chart here.
CANCELLATION POLICY EXCEPTION:. If you have purchased a specially priced promotion that is 100% non-refundable from the point of payment, you are not entitled to any refund, payment, compensation or credit whatsoever of your cruise or cruisetour fare if you cancel your booking.
Princess Cruise Line recommends the purchase of cancellation insurance.↑ Back to Top

Please contact the Internet Cafe Manager onboard for information regarding the charges that apply to Internet and wireless services and any other specific requirements.

You should dress for a cruise with Princess the same way you would for any stylish land-based resort. Casual sportswear, including shorts, lightweight pants and jogging suits, is the order of the day both at sea and ashore in hotter climates.
They recommend you bring a sweater, a jacket or an all-weather coat for cool evenings, and for shore excursions, depending on your destination. Due to unpredictable weather, don't forget a hat or visor and a collapsible umbrella. Please be sure to bring proper clothing for visits to religious sites. You'll also want low-heeled, rubbersoled shoes for strolling on deck, as well as comfortable walking shoes or sandals to wear.
There are two designations for dress codes for dining: Smart Casual and Formal.
Smart Casual
Passenger attire should be in keeping with what they would wear to a nice restaurant at home.
- Gentlemen
- Pants and open-neck shirts
- Ladies
- Skirts/dresses, slacks, and sweaters
Inappropriate dinner wear such as pool or beach attire, shorts, ball caps and casual jeans (with fraying and/or holes) are not permitted in the dining rooms. Shoes must be worn.
Formal
When formal nights are held, please observe the dress code in the Traditional Dining and Anytime Dining venues for the enjoyment of all our guests.
- Gentlemen
- Tuxedo, dark suit or dinner jacket and slacks
- Ladies
- Evening gown, cocktail dress, or elegant pant suit

Alcohol
Princess requests that you do not bring alcoholic beverages (other than wine and/or champagne) onboard for consumption. Alcoholic beverages brought on-board will be collected at the gangway and will be delivered to the passenger's stateroom on the last day of the cruise. Passengers are permitted to bring one bottle of wine and/or champagne per person on-board. If the wine and/or champagne is brought to the dining room for consumption, a $15.00 per bottle corkage fee will be applied to the passenger's shipboard account.
